MSU hosts StarkVegas Fútbol Jamboree April 5

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s Department of Kinesiology hosts its sixth annual StarkVegas Fútbol Jamboree Saturday [April 5] on MSU’s campus.
Open to all ages and skill levels, as well as including participants with special needs, the festivities kick off at 9 a.m. at the Fresh Fields on Stone Boulevard and include 3 vs. 3 soccer tournaments. Registration is $45 per team and is available at https://svfj.weebly.com/. Those interested in volunteering, refereeing or sponsoring the event can find more information through the same link.
Organized by MSU’s sport administration graduate students, the jamboree is designed to bring together members of Starkville and surrounding communities while supporting students with special needs.
“The StarkVegas Fútbol Jamboree is a fantastic opportunity for students in the Department of Kinesiology to learn through organization and execution of an event that brings our community together through the love of the game,” said JohnEric Smith, associate professor and department head. “This event not only showcases our students’ efforts but also promotes physical activity, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the community in a fun environment. We look forward to seeing players, fans and family for a great event.”
